Birthday Makeup

Last week I hit the grand age of 20. The thought of never being a teenager again is kind of terrifying and I'm still getting my head around it lol. I had a really fun evening, stuffing myself with Chinese food and watching Ride Along and Non-Stop with my best friend. I thought I'd show you guys the make up I wore that night. I didn't manage to take photos on my actual birthday so I recreated the look especially for my blog.

Eyes// Since it was a special occasion I used a lot of my all time favourite products, starting with Sienna from the Anastasia Lavish Palette. This eye shadow took centre stage for the whole look. After priming with my Urban Decay Primer Potion I blended Naked from the UD Naked Palette through my crease, as a guide. I then patted Sienna on my lid and blended into the crease. I highlighted my brow bone and inner corners with Kinky from the UD Smoked Palette. I lined my top lid with my Topshop Khol Liner in 'Coal'  and smudged it out with a pencil brush. I also added it to my waterline and set the lid liner with Blackout from the Smoked palette. I put on a coat of my HG mascara (UD Big Fatty Mascara) on my top and bottom lashes. After concealing my under eyes and contouring (products listed in the 'Face' section) I added the Khol liner to my bottom lash line and smoked out. On top of that I added more of Sienna. That's it for the eyes!

Face// I began the whole look by spritzing my face with the UD Chill Setting Spray. I then primed with The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser and applied my foundation which is the L'oreal True Match Foundation (W3). I used the wax from my Accessorize Brow Kit to tame my brows before filling them in with the powder. After applying eye make up I concealed my under eyes with Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (20) and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Fair). I set my concealer with the Ben Nye Banana Powder, contoured with Bourjois Delice de Poudre (52) and highlighted with MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder. I mixed Squash and Lantern from the Sleek Pumpkin Palette for my blush. I blended everything together with a big powder brush.

Lips//  For lips I used my absolute FAVOUITE lipstick aka Angel by MAC and dabbed a bit of NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss over the top and voila!
Happy Birthday to all my fellow March babies - ciao.

Angel + Turkish Delight = KimK's 'favourite' lip combination, iirc? I'm starting to see why she likes that combo though, it's gorgeous!

    1. Is it really her favourite combo? I literally had no idea haha. I'm one of the people who doesn't "Keep Up With the Kardashians" :') I mainly bought Angel for the name lol but I've fallen in love with it.

Thank you for the birthday wishes Vanessa! xx

  2. Happy birthday!! I haven't heard too much on that eye palette but the colors look amazing!

Would appreciate if you checked out my blog

    1. Thankyou! The lavish palette is incredible. Would seriously recommend especially if you have brown eyes x

      I followed you
