Café Delights

Yesterday me and my cousin Ruth went for a light lunch and a catch up at the adorably quaint, Café Delights. The cafe has become a firm family favourite and seemed like the perfect place to meet.

It has a homely feel with vintage furnishings, bunting and pastel pink walls; the fire place and candles makes the whole place feel so cosy.
There are lots of homemade treats to choose from - my usual favourite is their white chocolate & giangernut cheesecake but this time we opted for paninis. I chose a classic ham & cheese, Ruth went for a tuna melt and my sister (who joined us a bit later) picked a chicken tikka panini. We all loved our food and enjoyed having a good chat - we hadn't seen Ruth for years!
Next door to the cafe they have an equally lovely cake, sugarcraft and party supply shop (ran by the same people) where my other cousin, Phoebe, works! She popped in to chat with us when she was on her break - it was a real family affair!

The staff were accommodating, letting me photograph everything in sight and happily let my nephew toddle around. We had such a lovely afternoon and I enjoyed having some much needed family time. If you're ever in Teesside, definitely pop along to Cafe Delights for a cupcake (or two)!
How did you spend your Easter weekend?

Ciao x
