Everything You Need For A Perfect Movie Night

One of my favourite things about Autumn is having cosy movie nights with good food, great films and even better company. Movie nights are a great and relatively cheap way of spending time with people, especially if you get creative. With that in mind, I've put together a little guide of everything you need for the perfect movie night.

Movies

Of course the first thing you need for a movie night is movies...no kidding. If you're not sure of what to watch check out websites like IMDB. IMDB is an excellent movie database you can use to discover new films. You can search by genre, see ratings for films and see what other people are watching. It's also great to find out new and upcoming releases. If you're on a tight budget you can get lots of excellent, used movies from CEX and Amazon for next to nothing.

If all else fails do what we did and stick on some Disney movies! Tonight we opted for The Aristocats and the new Cinderella film.

A TV or Computer

Now you've picked your movie you need something to watch it on. I've been using my crummy laptop screen but I've been eyeing up the new Panasonic Viera 4K TV* range *heart eye emoji*. The picture quality looks INCREDIBLE and I can just imagine how crisp and clear it is. 4k is literally four times 1080p and I've never seen HD like it. Can you just imagine seeing Cinderella's beautiful dress in 4K? Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo indeed.

Popcorn and Snacks

No movie night is complete without snacks. Popcorn is a total classic and my favourite kind is Asda's own toffee popcorn - it's delicious! If you're not a fan of popcorn, grab your favourite snack; nachos, chocolate and ice cream are a good shout! I love a good Ben & Jerry's on movie nights.

Cosy PJ's

I love getting into some fluffy, cute PJ's for movie nights and putting on some fuzzy socks. It makes me feel so much more cosier and relaxed. Primark do some adorable, inexpensive pairs so check them out!

Blanket Forts

I don't care what you say or how old you are, blanket forts are an absolute must for movie nights. Simply throwing a few blankets over some chairs, hanging fairy lights and throwing a couple of fluffy pillows underneath is THE BEST way to enjoy a movie. If it's a date it makes it a bit more romantic and if not it's a fun way of having a girlie sleepover.

A Movie Buddy

Finally, for the perfect movie night you need some good company. Of course solo movie nights can be lots of fun but nothing beats snuggling up with your best friend or boyfriend and watching a good film. Movie nights are a great idea for a cheap date - just imagine cuddling up under a blanket fort with your other half and watching a cheesy rom com. Perfect.
