Homesense Haul

Last week I paid a visit to the new Homesense* store in Hedge End (read about that HERE) and was given £25 to splurge! A dream come true right? With items up to 60% off I had so much choice and found £25 really went a long way. I could’ve quite easily bought everything in the stationery, Christmas and bakeware sections but I settled on just four items.

The first thing I chose was an adorable, heart print teapot for one from Bombay Duck. I have actually been wanting this for ages but at £24.95 I just couldn’t justify buying it. I couldn’t believe my luck when I spotted it in Homesense for a mere £7.99! How could I say no?

Next I went for an Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book. I’ve been obsessed with fairytales lately, what with my Fairytale Gourmet discovery and starting Once Upon A Time (which I’m loving by the way!) so I couldn’t resist buying this. Alice In Wonderland is probably my favourite fairytale of all time and I have to admit the pastel pink cover sealed the deal for me.

I can’t resist stationery at the best of times, never mind when there’s gold foil involved. This beautiful notebook is the perfect size for me and has a beautiful watercolour cover, gold foil pages and a gold spiral binding. I love the quote on the front as I strongly believe that a positive attitude leads to happiness.

Finally I went for the deliciously scented, glazed Spiced Pumpkin candle. The rustic packaging really caught my eye and I know it’ll make my room feel all cosy and Autumnal. It’s very sweet with hints of cinnamon (it actually smells like carrot cake haha) and is my perfect Autumn candle.

Did you like this haul? What was your favourite item?

  3. That's all so good for the price! I remember getting a candle in similar packaging from TK Maxx, but it was some kind of popcorn smell (can't remember the exact scent) and I'm pretty sure it was the best candle I've ever bought!

    1. Haha! People always seem to find amazing beauty buys in TK Maxx except me. I long for the day I find something amazing there (that hasn't been contaminated by various body fluids etc haha).
