Homeware Shopping Trip at Ocean Retail Park

If there’s one thing I can’t resist buying it’s homeware. I’m moving house in a couple of weeks and thought I could do with a few new pieces to spruce up my new home (as if I needed an excuse). I headed to Ocean Retail Park* and boy did I find some gems!

Ocean Retail Park is the perfect place to shop for homeware, furniture and DIY supplies if you’re in the Portsmouth area. With shops such as Currys PC World, Oak Furniture Village and Wren Kitchens, you’re bound to find some bang for your buck.

The first place I went to was the new TK Maxx store. I love TK Maxx at the best of times and I definitely wasn’t disappointed by the amazing selection of homeware on offer. I was immediately drawn to the stationery section and had to resist snapping up a gorgeous lilac notebook and a cute mint agenda.
I fell in love with their stunning Autumn collection. The shelves were filled with golden leafed wreaths, pretty lanterns and lots and lots of copper. I could’ve happily styled my new home with everything in the collection but limited myself to a few minimalistic pieces.

After bagging a few bargains and having a pitstop at McDonald’s (homeware shopping is hungry work) I browsed through Currys PC World, fantasising about owning my own Smeg fridge and drawing tablets.
Next on the agenda was Homebase. I’d always thought of Homebase as a DIY and decorating shop but was pleasantly surprised to see they had stunning homeware collection in their ‘Habitat’ concession. It was every blogger’s dream with vintage, shabby chic items, touches of pastel pink, geometric plant pots and fluffy white rugs. What's more it was all incredibly affordable, so you can’t go wrong! There was even a fab range of basic, budget-friendly kitchenware perfect for if you’re moving into your own home for the first time or if you’re off to uni.
All in all I had a fantastic shopping trip at Ocean Retail Park and I can’t wait to show you all the adorable, pastel pieces I picked up in my next post. If you’re on the hunt for unique homeware that won’t break the bank, be sure to stop by Ocean Retail Park!

  1. I love the pine foxes :D I'm a sucker for home ware accessories but my apartment doesn't have the space to fit much in. My favourite stores for home goodies are Dunelm, Next and Laura Ashley :)

  2. I love shopping for homeware! Those agendas look adorable! It's so nice to see autumn pieces in stores again. ♥

  3. The retail sector is now more organized and efficient. The retail revolution has changed not just the urban lifestyle but also the lifestyle in small towns.
