It feels like we’ve only just celebrated Valentine’s Day yet Mother’s Day is fast approaching. It’s always a chore trying to find the perfect gift for the mother figure in your life (like, seriously, how many bath sets can you buy a woman?) but fear not as I’ve got a little something for everyone in this gift guide.
All of the gifts are available at Ocean Retail Park, Portsmouth* which I cannot say enough good things about.
The Pinterest Mum
If your mum has a thing for Kilner mason jars, trying out new crafts and baking her own bread, then these gifts could be perfect for her. Why not get her a Crockpot or pepper mill so she can try out all of the new recipes she's been pinning? The Caroline Gardner recipe tin and Vintage Sweets book are also sure to be welcome additions to her kitchen. The Johanna Basford colouring books have been a huge hit within the arts and craft community, and the new Secret Garden inspired candle range would be a novelty gift for any of her fans. With scents ranging from Woodland Berry and Midnight Forest to Vanilla Maple, you really can't go wrong.

The Glam Mum
For a woman that is partial to the finer things in life, something like a new handbag or some rose gold, drop earrings could be a winner. TK Maxx currently have a fantastic selection of fashion books, that I myself would love to own and I'm sure many glam mums would also appreciate this gift. The Alien fragrance by Thierry Mugler is a classy, exquisite scent that's always popular. A coffee machine is a must in pretty much any Mother's life and I've heard brilliant things about this Nespresso one, currently on offer at Currys PC World.

The New Mum
New mum's can be the hardest to buy for but there are few directions you could take. Practical gifts that make her life easier, like this Grab and Go stroller organiser or a stylish, new changing bag are a great idea. Keepsake gifts are another way to go. You could buy her a trinket box, fill a locket with photos of her little cherub or even create a mould of their foot using THIS kit from TK Maxx. We all know new mum's barely get chance to relax so THIS foot massager from Curry's PC World is ideal. She could enjoy a relaxing massage, without even having to put baby down. You could also fill a cookie jar with some of her favourite biscuits - this one from TK Maxx has a tight seal lid, to stop little fingers getting in.

Candles aren't the best thing to have when you've got little ones toddling around so a relaxing diffuser is a lovely alternative. I'm personally loving Stoneglow's packaging and they look a lot more premium than they are.

The Wellness Mum Finally if your Mum is into health, fitness and general wellbeing here are some ideas. Something like this Spiralizer, Leon Cookbook and Herb tray are fab for keeping up with a healthy diet. Skechers make fantastic running shoes as they are soft, comfy and slightly more affordable than brands like Nike. This pair and a Fitbit would be perfect gifts. Even sporty Mum's need to relax. Make them a little hamper with this Botanical mask, eco wax melts and a beautiful dragonfly, wind chime and I promise they'll be happy. No matter how you choose to treat the maternal figure in your life, whether that's your biological Mum, your Grandma or someone else entirely, be sure to let them know they are loved. I'll personally be celebrating my Nana and my sister who is Mum to two very special little boys.

How will you be spending Mother's day?
